Referee Documents & Resources
Requirements
Certification
All referees must hold a valid US Soccer referee certification in order to referee Competition Travel games in West Haven.
Registration
Referees must register with WHYSL prior to the start of each season.
Uniform
Referees are required to wear the appropriate referee uniform for all matches.
Conduct
All referees are expected to uphold the highest standards of sportsmanship and professionalism.

New Referee Information
New referees must complete the entry-level referee course through the US Soccer learning center before their first assignment. Field training sessions are also available through CT Referee.
Referee Recertification
Existing referees must recertify each year through the US Soccer learning center to remain eligible to officiate WHYSL matches.
