WHYSL Announces Recreation Travel Registration begins August 3

The Recreational Travel (developmental) program is open to players who are born 8/1/2016 thru 7/31/2018 and are ALREADY REGISTERED with the league. This program is for players who want to enhance their skills through ADDITIONAL practices and travel games. These teams are NOT competition teams and there are NO tryouts. Games will be against teams from surrounding towns - some home and some away - and are in addition to their regular in-house Saturday morning games. The cost of the program is $45.00 (plus the processing fee). Registration in this program is for players who have ALREADY REGISTERED for in-house play. Those not registered in-house WILL BE REMOVED from the program.

Developmental travel is a "step up" from the in-house league. As the children get older, it provides them with the opportunity to play with and against more skilled competition from other towns, which is a must for them to continue to develop. At the 9U/10U age group, the players start to learn positioning, team play, as well as the continued emphasis on foot skills, passing and developing into a complete player.
